Each year, automotive enthusiasts and critics alike descend on the Los Angeles Convention Center to get a look at the latest and greatest vehicles from today’s leading automakers. Hundreds of new vehicles debuted at this year’s L.A. Auto Show, but few were as well received as the new Santa Fe and Veloster C3 from Hyundai. Although these vehicles aren’t yet available at Brown’s Leesburg Hyundai, you can get your first look (so to speak) at the 2013 Santa Fe and Veloster C3 Roll Top below.
2013 Santa Fe
Longer, taller, and wider than the Santa Fe Sport, the 2013 Santa Fe proves that crossover utility vehicles can be compact and spacious at the same time. The new three-row, seven-passenger Santa Fe also makes use of Hyundai’s signature Fluidic Sculpture design language, giving it a striking visual presence. Beneath the hood, the 2013 Santa Fe is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 that generates a substantial 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. Add the available Active Cornering Control All-Wheel Drive system into the mix, and the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe becomes one of the most capable crossover SUVs on the market.
Veloster C3 Roll Top
The Hyundai Veloster has always garnered a healthy amount of interest from the automotive community, but the Veloster C3 Roll Top that debuted at this year’s L.A. Auto Show was a superstar in its own right. Still just a concept vehicle at the moment, the three-door convertible coupe features a canvas roof that can open forwards or backwards. The Veloster C3 Roll Top is expected to feature the same 1.6-liter turbo engine found in the production Veloster, which is great news for driving enthusiasts with a lead foot.
